This past Tuesday Seattle Academy traveled to Eastside Catholic’s home field to play each other for the first time. Game started off with a aggressive attack from Seattle Academy getting runs down the field and having strong shots at Eastsides goal. They held a strong possession moving through most of the first half and put EC in a nerve-wracking defensive position.

In the first half Eastside’s goalkeeper Logan Hellyar kept them in the running with multiple fantastic diving saves across her goal line.

Throughout the half Eastside Catholic began to find their rhythm and forced Seattle Academy back into their defensive half. With strong balls played out the back by Camryn Trick, they were able to find their place in the game and fight to keep the ball on their attacking half.

Ending the half with a 0-0 score, both teams went into the second half working hard to finish for their team.

Seattle Academy’s midfield played a strong game winning balls out of the air and challenging EC for 50-50’s. They continued to strike against Eastside Catholic’s defense and began to tire them out. EC held onto the ball for a 52.2% possession, while Seattle Academy carried with a total of 9 shots on goal.

After the hard fought game, both teams left the field tacking on another tie to their records. And moving into the week Eastside Catholic plays Garfield for the second time at home at 4:00, while Seattle Academy will face off West Seattle at their home field.
