The Lakeside Lions brought the heat, beating the Eastside Catholic Crusaders for varsity girls’ soccer, 4-0. Saturday September 16th, the Crusaders traveled to the Lakeside field, planning to correct their 4-0 loss of the year before. The Lions refused to let down a match, as history repeated itself, once again.
When it comes to the Lions and the Crusaders, The Lions never back down. Two out of these four goals were to the credit of Lakeside junior, Preslie Lampitt, who scored the first two goals under the first half of the game.
Under the coaching of Shelley Beck, the Crusaders are 2-2 for wins and losses this season, winning 4-1 against Ingraham, and 7-0 against Garfield. The lions are at a 5-game win streak, with only one tie and no losses this season. Under the coaching of Derrek Falor, Lakeside ranks the #2 team in the Metro League, winning 16 out of their 21 games last season. As for the Crusaders won 6 out of their 11 games last season.
Up next for the Crusaders is an away game against the Ballard Beavers, as for Lakeside has an away game against the Seattle Prep Panthers. Both games are on Tuesday the 19th.
