Lakeside, the No. 2 team on the RPI girls’ soccer rankings, played Ballard, No. 37 on Tuesday this week in a showdown of historical powerhouses in the Metro League. Before this, the teams hadn’t faced off since September 30, 2022, where Lakeside emerged victorious with a 6-2 win. Similarly to then, Lakeside won 2-0 this week. Lakeside is nearly undefeated, with six wins, one loss, and one tied game.

Nathan Hale 3-0 Ingraham
Hale and Ingraham played for the second time this season, Hale walking away with a 2-0 win. The last time they played, Hale won 3-0. Hale has won 4 of their 6 games this season and are set to play Blanchet this Thursday. Ingraham will face Garfield that same day.
Seattle Prep topped EC in their first game of the season. Prep has only lost one game this season, losing to Blanchet in late September. They’ve won 5 of their games and tied two. Eastside is doing well, with five wins to four loses and no ties, but today, the result fell in favor of the Panthers, as Seattle Prep walked away with a comfortable 3-0 win over the Crusaders. EC is scheduled to play Franklin High School on Thursday, and Seattle Prep will be playing Lakeside that same day.
For their first face off of the season, Holy Names and Lincoln tied 1-1. Lincoln has won five of their seven games, while Holy Names is undefeated thus far, with 3 wins and 5 ties.
In the most dramatic scoring on this list, Garfield topped Sealth 9-0. This season has been a rollercoaster for Garfield, as the Bulldogs have managed four wins along with four losses. Ranked No. 43 on the RPI girls soccer rankings, they had a significant advantage over Sealth’s No. 73.
