Football: Vikings take down Bears in close matchup

A matchup last week between Rainier Beach and Bishop Blanchet was a tight game that ended 33-27 with the Vikings finishing out on top and bouncing back from last week’s loss against Seattle Prep.

Rainier Beach showing their dominant side in this game is catching people’s attention. While Beach had a rough start to the season losing the first 2 games but coming back and winning the last 3 of 4 games.

Rainier Beach has been using an interesting strategy and rotating between three different quarterbacks between and in games. The Vikings have used James Siva, Jayden Tyler, and Marcus Harrington Jr. under center at some point. With them struggling at the quarterback position for the past few years, they have have been waiting and hoping for “their guy” to step up and take control of the offense. All 3 quarterbacks still have time to grow and mature because none of them are seniors, so hopefully they can find the right fit for the team and start competing for championships again.

Blanchet has had a tough year up to this point. They have kept a lot of games close this year but haven’t been able to finish the job and claim a win. With 2 weeks left, the Bears can put together a better game plan to make them come out victorious.

With the victory, Beach improves to 3-3 on the season, moving to 5th place in the Metro standings. While Bishop Blanchet is now 0-6 and sitting 7th in the Metro Conference.
