Last season, the Crusaders matched up with the Cougars twice and although these matches were not easy, the Crusaders came away with the Victory both times. The Cougars finished their 2023-2024 year in Metro 3-11 while the Crusaders finished Metro 8-8.

The tough loss underscored the fact that the Crusaders have their homework for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Holy Names now has a great win under their belt to give them momentum going into the rest of the season.

Both teams have a lot to prove and exciting upcoming games. The 1-0 Cougars will take on Bishop Blanchet on 9/12 and then a talented Lakeside on 9/17 with No. 1 Libero in the state Victoria Gao and top Middle Lauren Coleman. The 4-2 Crusaders will take on Roosevelt on 9/17 and then have their turn with Lakeside on the 19th.
