Girls Basketball: Prep takes it on the road to EC

Published on

This Wednesday Seattle Prep (0-2) heads to Eastside Catholic (0-1) to take on a young but tough team in early season league play.

With Prep coming off of losses they are looking to put their first digit in the winner’s column. The last time these teams matched up was in district playoffs last year, which resulted in EC winning 55-46 in overtime.

Prep is an experienced team looking to have a successful season. Although they did lose some key senior starters from last season. Cornell Commit Grace Renners looks to lead the pack for the panthers this year with her abilities inside the paint and her silky smooth shot from beyond the arc along with sophomore point guard Kylin Kinchen who will be the general for the team.

Eastside Catholic is a young but very talented team who will be very dangerous when they put all their pieces together. This team will be lead by freshman center Amy Nduka who currently holds offers from Stanford and Cal, and Sophomore point guard Olivia Wollum who is a quick and shifty guard who will be looking to push the ball and set the pace for the crusaders.

As the regular season starts for the Metro League this is definitely a going to be a competitive battle that I would suggest tuning in for.
