Preview: Streaking Prep travels to the Eastside

Published on

This Friday, the Panthers travel to Acosta field to take on the Crusaders at 7PM.

Ever since the Panthers took a demoralizing 49-6 loss to O’Dea early in their season, they have been on a hot streak ever since, winning their last three conference games. Prep downed Bishop Blanchet 54-31, Rainier Beach in a close battle 38-30, and finally eased past Ballard 59-12. With great play from their quarterback Beau Oaksmith and Second Team All Metro player Ezra Maul.

Oaksmith and Maul exchange a handoff for Prep.

As for the Crusaders, they are trying finish out their regular season and prepare for the playoffs. EC will come into the game riding the high from their amazing comeback against the Roosevelt Rough Riders, coming back to win the game 27-26 after having been down 26-7 with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Senior transfer Isaac Corey has been under center for the Crusaders this year.

Despite their dramatic win last week, the Crusaders can not take the Panthers lightly. The Panthers haven’t been an easy opponent for the Crusaders. Though EC have won the past 3 of the last 4 years, the Panthers average 14 points against the Crusaders and always seem to make them work in the second half.

As the regular season is starting to conclude and teams are starting to prepare for the upcoming playoffs, tune in for the Seattle Prep Panthers taking on the Eastside Catholic Crusaders.
