Volleyball Preview: EC hosts Holy Names in Metro League finale

After a tough Metro League campaign, Holy Names (3-10) will be facing off against Eastside Catholic (7-6) this Wednesday, October 25th. As the last league game results trickle in, the playoff bracket will take its final form and kick off this Friday with Franklin, Cleveland, Rainier Beach, and Garfield in action.

This will be EC’s last regular season game, and they are hoping to end this season with another win after having a 7-5 record. EC is ranked number 37 in the RPI girls’ volleyball rankings and are coming off a 1-3 loss to West Seattle on Monday.

Holy Names has faced EC once already this season, losing 0-3. This contributed to their 10 loses this season, as well as losing their last game against Roosevelt 1-3. Holy Names is ranked 63 by RPI, putting them at a statistical disadvantage for tomorrow’s game. Holy Names has one more game before the playoffs, a clash with Lake Washington this Thursday.
