Eastlake vs. Seattle Prep Boys Lacrosse Recap

Eastlake versus Seattle Prep was a highly anticipated game between two of the best teams in the state of Washington. Seattle Prep being back to back 3A state champions in 2023 and 2024. Eastlake being 4A state runner up in 2024. Going into the 2025 season Seattle Prep is widely regarded as the best defense in the state, and Eastlake is considered the best offense in the state. Both teams fought hard but in the end Seattle Prep ended up with a scrappy 10-9 victory over the Wolves.

Going into this huge matchup, both teams were looking to lean on their many collegiate players to make clutch plays to get a win. Seattle Prep has three DI college commits: Win Chandler (Duke University), Nat Menbere (Drexel University), and Becket Archer (Princeton University). As well as one DIII commit Elliot Muska (Colorado College). Eastlake has 4 DI college commits: Anthony Grassi (High Point), Landon Johnson (Cornell University), Myles Johnson (Towson University), and Aidan Santini (Bryant University). Also one DIII commit Wes Schmidt (Roanoke College). Both teams have star studded rosters, giving this early season match up even more hype.

Both teams were led by their left handed attackmen Muska (Seattle Prep) and Anthony Grassi (Eastlake). Muska had a hat trick, while Grassi had one more with four goals. Seattle Prep’s Callum Skillestad also had a great game with three goals. Seattle Prep long stick midfielders Becket Archer and Win Chandler worked hard on the clear and generated fast break goals giving them each a pair of assists. Cornell commit Landon Johnson had a game changing performance and ended up leading Eastlake in points with one goal and four assists. Eastlake’s Myles Johnson also chipped in with one goal. Aidan Santini also played a major role in the game with four points (two goals, two assists). Freshman Brady Meehan also helped the Panthers get the win with a goal and an assist. In the end Seattle Prep’s start studded roster was able push through the Wolves’ defense to come out with the 10-9 victory.
