Seattle Prep clashed with Eastside Catholic this week to determine who would advance in the Metro League postseason. The last two times these two teams met in regular season, Prep came away with a win for both. The games were close with Prep only winning by an average of 5 points each game. This time around, the game was as close as ever, sending the contest into overtime where the Crusaders managed to pull ahead and seal the victory, 55-46.

The regular season had been rough for the Crusaders. They finished Metro League play 3-11 and overall at 8-13. On the other hand, Seattle Prep went 6-8 in league play and 13-12 overall. Going into the game, the Panthers where favored with over a 50% win rate.

On February 15th, the Crusaders will continue their Cinderella story away at Bellevue College at 6:30 pm versus Garfield. A win there would send to the 2024 District 2 3A Girls Basketball Tournament finals game versus the winner of the Lakeside vs Lake Washington game.
