Seattle Prep 26-20 Eastside Catholic

At the same time Lincoln and Roosevelt were going head to head, a thrilling and competitive match between the Eastside Catholic Crusaders and the Seattle Prep Panthers kicked off. Going into this game, Eastside had their heads up and were confident they could defeat Seattle Prep, as they were bringing an undefeated 8-0 record into this crucial game.

Seattle Prep came into the game with extreme energy and momentum, which was an advantage they gained from playing and winning a game to Garfield minutes before in the quarter-finals.

The game started off strong for EC, as they intercepted the football from Prep right away and turned it into a touchdown on their ensuing drive, making it 7-0. It didn’t take long for Prep to bounce back and score a touchdown to tie the game. The game was filled with great plays by both teams and continued to go back and forth until the end, when Prep sealed the win with a final touchdown, which ended the game 26-20 in Seattle Prep’s favor. The Eastside Catholic girls’ season was now over after a devastating first loss after going 8-0 throughout the whole season.

Seattle Prep 19-13 Lincoln (Championship)

The championship game neared as the semi-finals were finally over. The victors, Seattle Prep and Lincoln, prepared to play yet another game to determine who would win the 2024 Metro League title. Both teams fought hard, especially on defense, as proven by the low scoring throughout the game. Lincoln was down by 6 at the last play of the game, and this was their final chance to get the points they so desperately needed to win the game. They were at the 10 yard-line and in strong scoring position, but Prep’s fabulous defense was able to force an incompletion, ending the game 19-13 with the Panthers on top.

Though Lincoln hoped to come out on top like they did last year, the Seattle Prep Panthers held a tenacious grip on the Lynx to earn their first ever Flag Football Metro League title.
