Can the Crusaders repeat last season’s success?

EC is coming off of a fantastic — maybe even surprising — season, as they finished 4th in Metro League but went on to win the league championship in the playoffs. As they only graduated one senior last year, EC is carrying five seniors into the season this year, looking to follow up on last season’s success.

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders are taking on the Seattle Prep Panthers for the first game of the season at 8:30pm at Prep. MaxPreps has EC as best team in the state. Eastside Catholic finished their season last year 20-10. Seattle Preps record was 7-18. EC is favored to win this matchup.

EC being No. 1 in the state has a lot of hype to live up to. EC has some really good players like Jacob Cofie. Cofie recently committed to West Virginia to play basketball. He is projected to have a breakout year. Cofie’s stats last year was 91 points 78 rebounds, 15 assists and 12 steals, with an impressive 46% shot.

Seattle Prep lost one of the best players in Washington this year in Christian King he was a 3 start recruit who committed to the University of Washington. Prep is definitely going to miss him this year. Lets see who is going to win this matchup is EC going to live up to the hype or is the underdogs Seattle Prep going to pull an upset.
